 Desert Rose

The Desert Rose is one of the premium restaurants available on Princess Cruises' Golden Princess.
It's Southwestern style is similar to the Painted Desert on Grand Princess.
The Desert Rose is open nightly for dinner. Reservations aren't required, but they are recommended. Our advice is to make a reservation at least a couple of days in advance, but if you have a particular reason for wanting to go, especially on a specific evening, make the reservation as soon as you board; you can always cancel it if you change your mind.

Dinner is unhurried and will take about an hour and a half. The menu is something of a work in progress, because Princess is in the process of upgrading the cuisine and converting these restaurants from simply alternative restaurants to premium restaurants. The current menu is shown below.

Dress is casual, but not t-shirt and jean casual. This might be a good alternative on formal night if you don't want to get really dressed up.

There is an $8 per person surcharge, including gratuity, which is charged to your onboard account. The price is offset somewhat because the $8 does include one margarita that if you were purchasing it separately (and many would in a Southwestern restaurant), they are priced at $5, so the meal nets out at $3. A full wine and bar menu is available.

To complete your Southwestern Experience. Let us offer you your fist Magnificent Traditional 16 oz. "Margarita" (worth $5.00) on the house. Ask

Trattoria Sabatini

Sabatini's is one of the premium restaurants available on Princess Cruises' Grand Princess and Golden Princess.
While it is an Italian kitchen, don't think we're talking pasta and minestrone.
Sabatini's is open for lunch on sea days and nightly for dinner. While reservations aren't required, seating in Sabatini's is usually one of the hottest tickets on the ship. Our advice is to make a reservation as soon as you board the ship - and have a second choice of times in mind.

A meal in Sabatini's is as much of an event as it is a meal. Plan to spend two to two-and-a-half hours in unhurried dining. The service is prompt and constant. There are no lulls in the service, just lots of food.

Dress is somewhat casual, but not t-shirt and jean casual. This might be a good alternative on formal night if you don't want to get really dressed up.

There is a $15 per person surcharge, including gratuity, which is charged to your onboard account. A full wine and bar menu is available.
