Arrive in Amsterdam and transfer to the ship. The remainder of the day
is free at leisure to explore Amsterdam on your own or join an optional
tour. Stroll along the canals and enjoy the elegant and classic
architecture of this 800-year-old capital. Embarkation begins at 4pm.

DAY 3, Mon
This morning, tour the canals of Amsterdam in a glass-top boat. View
historic homes, 16th century merchant houses, and charming churches with
bell towers. Enjoy time at leisure before cruising to the picturesque
fishing village of Volendam in Zuider Zee. This afternoon, drive to the
enchanting village of Edam, to visit one of its cheese factories.
Continue through colorful tulip fields before returning to your ship in
Enkhuizen, a charming port village with narrow cobblestone streets and
fortified gates. This evening, cruise into the Ijssel River (B, L, D):

4, Tues This morning, arrive in Arnhem and drive to the Airborne
Museum at Hartenstein to view the Battle of Arnhem exhibit. Return to
the ship and spend the balance of the day cruising through Holland into
Belgium. This evening, enjoy the Captain's gala dinner (B, L, D): CRUISE
DAY 5, Wed
This morning, enjoy a tour of Antwerp, the second-largest Belgian city
and an important historic seaport. View Rubens' House, where the great
painter lived and worked for most of his life. Visit the Grote Market
with its beautiful City Hall, the Church of Our Lady, and admire the
city's superb architecture. The afternoon is free to explore Antwerp on
your own or take an optional tour to Brussels. After dinner, enjoy a
performance by local musicians (B, L, D): CRUISE
DAY 6, Thurs
This morning, a walking tour of medieval Ghent features the wealth of
its contrasting styles of architecture including Romanesque, rococo,
high-tech and timber frame. View the Castle of the Counts and the
unfinished Church of St. Nicholas. Continue to the Cathedral of St.
Bavon to view the celebrated 12-paneled Adoration of the Lamb, painted
by the Van Eyck brothers. This afternoon, enjoy time at leisure to
explore the city independently or take an optional excursion to Bruges
(B, L, D): CRUISE
DAY 7, Fri
This morning, sail through Zeeland, home to one of the world's most
complex engineering projects, the Delta Works which took over 30 years
to complete. Stop in charming Zierikzee for a walking tour followed by
free time to explore. Continue to Dordrecht, one of the oldest towns in
Holland. Nearby, view the 19 windmills of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World
Heritage site, built in 1740 to drain the polders, the low-lying land
reclaimed from the sea. Tonight, stroll through Dordrecht or enjoy a
musical performance on board (B, L, D): CRUISE
DAY 8, Sat
Sail to Utrecht where you disembark to drive to the Keukenhof Gardens,
famous throughout the world for dazzling fields of tulips, daffodils,
and hyacinths. View the lakes, sculpture gardens, greenhouses, and open
windmill. Return to the ship in central Amsterdam. This evening, enjoy a
farewell dinner (B, L, D): CRUISE
